-- and for our next story, a never ending effort in the senate for action to be taken in regards to "The Evils", three prophesied to end the world. Whether you believe it or not there are some who are very passionate on the subject.
[The cute young reporter is replaced on screen by a view inside the senate, rows of seats with people filling them, showing one man standing, voice deep and resounding. He's speaking to the legislators, the senate, the camera seems to love him, zooming in close as he raises a hand to gesture in a serious fashion around the room.]
Ever at the fore front of the discussion is Nehl Aulwin, CEO of Energence. He's been butting heads with the senate for years now on the subject and to this day seems to not have lost any wind in his sails.
[The audio cuts back to the senate hearing and Nehl, who's not let anyone get a word in edgewise. The legislators or others who'd try to make him sit down or shut up.]
As I've continued to impart on all of you many a time, we cannot just ignore what is going on. They may not be a group of violent offenders or a military force trying to gun down our families, but they are still a danger. We cannot continue to sit by and do nothing. The youngest is eighteen, that's eighteen years that we've been lucky, because we can't expect them to not slip up at some point. No matter their own precautions it's not enough.
Mr. Aulwi--
Let me finish-
Mr. Aulwin, you are doing nothing but perpetuating fear in the people over a fairy tale written years ago. Aren't you tired of this nonsense?
Whether people believe it or not, Prophetic or Ender, or someone who thinks it's all rubbish... we can't keep denying that what's been written, what's been prophesied has so far come true to an extent. Enough that we need to take action before something happens.
Alright that's enough for today, Mr. Aulwin, please--
[The audio kicks back to the reporter talking over the video as it clearly shows Nehl trying to get a word in, a bit of a temper flaring, one that is typically hidden behind his calm and quieter demeanor. He seems to lose the battle for the day, jaw setting and expression hard as he sits back down, eyes flickering towards the camera before the feed cuts back to the reporter, who's expression is much brighter and happier than his had been.]
